Testimonials
' Suzanne creates an incredibly safe environment for our therapeutic sessions, her warmth and obvious deep consideration to what I share have enabled me to get more out of therapy than I ever have before. I feel guided, understood, challenged in the best way, and heard. Suzanne has enabled me to take reflections and new tools into my day to day life with confidence. The therapeutic setting is comfortable, calm and allows me to immediately exhale and drop my shoulders when I walk in. I look forward to our sessions together and so appreciate her professional, pluralist approach intertwined with care, compassion and empathy. A wonderful balance that is hard to find, Thank you Suzanne.'
' I felt like a hopeless case after a lifetime of ever-worsening addiction and 15 years of trying multiple therapists with no lasting positive change in my life as someone with ADHD. I found Suzanne as a last resort and am so lucky I did. Suzanne was the first professional I had met who could accurately predict what life in my head was like and who could clearly explain exactly how different my mind is to neurotypical people. After building trust through that genuine understanding of me she has shown me how to stop hating myself and manage my transition to a completely drug-free life. A year ago I would never have believed that possible and for the first time in my life I look forward to the future.'
' Suzanne supported me to make sense of a new relationship that had triggered me into old behaviours I didn’t like. After a few sessions with her, I realised the unhealthy patterns I was locked in and where they were coming from. Very quickly, we were able to formulate a way for me to control the unwanted behaviour. I particularly liked the way we used images and archetypes to understand the emotions I struggled to connect to. My therapy with her was brief as I only needed five sessions.'
' I really look forward to my counselling with Suzanne. She helps me work through the struggles I have at college each week. She gets how hard life is for me and explains why I find it all so hard. I always feel better after seeing her and I like the way she makes me feel normal and sometimes very special.'
' I started working with Suzanne four years ago, and working with her has been a true delight. She always shows understanding and continuous patience during every session we have had. I find working with Suzanne to be a wonderful experience, making the whole therapeutic process understandable, comfortable and on my terms, never being forced to go at a pace that causes me distress. As well as being made to feel completely heard every session, I have also benefited from our sessions in ways I never thought I would be able to. I understand how my brain works now, what works for me to get through each day, what works for me to be able to function in this high-energy world. I have learnt how I regulate everyday life best, and how to calm triggers down, which, before starting my therapeutic work with Suzanne, I thought would always be uncontrollable.
Before I started working with Suzanne, I had seen 5 different teams to learn how to deal with everyday life. They left me with quite a harsh judgment of all therapeutic settings and of myself. But Suzanne let me lead the way with every conversation. At every hurdle, she completely encouraged me. Working as a team, we have figured out why I wasn’t able to make any progress in the other settings. We adapted our working style to fit what I needed.
I continue to regularly see Suzanne because I know for me long-term therapy is the best choice to keep me feeling really healthy. My views on therapy have now changed, and I now advocate for everyone to receive therapy that works for them. Thanks to Suzanne I now live a happier life than I ever thought was achievable, I have broken toxic generational cycles and now look forward to everyday life and experiencing a life worth living.'
